I have worked with acrylics for many years. But, recently I have been working with screen printing. The main attraction being the final result, which is never what is expected. Colours, which are water based, vary much more with screen printing, as the blending and depth of colour is always unexpected and results tend to be surprising.
I have also began to use drypoint, which tends to be confined to a monochrome colours, less is more and detail is needed. Inks are best oil based, and results are usually as expected.
Colours in art, I feel, are an expression of personal choice. They assist in intensifying the emotional state and building the attraction between the viewer and the artist.
